SoCal lawyer accused of spending $10.2 million in company funds in six months

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – A Newport Beach-based lawyer is being sued after he spent $10.2 million in company funds during a six-month Vegas bender.

Sarah King, 39, allegedly stole $10.2 million from LDR International Ltd. to pay for a six-month splurge on a luxury Vegas hotel, gambling, parties, jewelry, cars and more.

LDR, a lender in the British Virgin Islands, made around 100 loans to King Lending from January 2022 to October 2022.

“According to the lawsuit, the company made loans to Attorney’s Loan Services – which bears his name. These loans were supposed to be lent to third parties. “Alleged loans from King Lending to third-party borrowers were allegedly secured by a variety of collateral, including but not limited to luxury automobiles, boats, yachts, jewelry, watches, precious metal coins and earnings from guaranteed professional sports contracts.” – Law He reported the crime.

A Los Angeles lawyer is being sued for more than $10.2 million after he used his company’s funds to support long, hard-partying at an expensive Las Vegas hotel — and cheated to do it.

In the 33-page original petition filed in the Central District of California, Newport Beach-based attorney Sarah Jacqueline King, a graduate of Loyola Law School, accuses LDR International Ltd. of stealing the coffers of breach of contract, fraud and civil theft.
