Who is actually in charge? Trump was reportedly unaware of the previous Chinese

Like many Americans, I spent the weekend glued to my television as I witnessed what felt like a dystopian conflict movie. We watched in shock and awe as a Chinese spy balloon traveled from Alaska through Canada and across our country from Montana to South Carolina, before finally being shot down.

The obvious fact that it should send chills down our collective spines is that, during the Trump administration, the rumor that three such balloons popped into our airspace is enough to make you fall out of your chair.

But wait, it gets worse, worse.

Reports from the current administration indicate that the previous POTUS was never briefed on the events, let alone the civilian leaders appointed under him. It was one of the strangest situations of my life, and the questions and concerns kept piling up.

I don’t understand how this administration has so many anonymous officials who just deliberately tell reporters all kinds of salacious news. Unsurprisingly, it started with my favorite least-criticized yet most corrupt—the Department of Defense.

A senior defense official ‘talking in the background’ (which is a fancy way of saying that the person supposedly knows what they’re talking about but is too cowardly to be associated with it), claims that “Chinese balloons were briefly moved into the continental US at least during the previous administration. three times.”

I like the mention of ‘at least’ in that statement, leaving aside the possibility that their hand will be caught in the cookie jar again later. They may also have to admit previously undisclosed Chinese balloons. Not to be outdone, this time another unnamed official from the Biden administration directly confirmed the allegations.

During the Trump administration, these balloons flew over Texas and Florida, but no one was informed about the incident. So just let that sink in for a minute; Your duly elected former President and his appointees were not informed of the floating of a spy balloon by our closest adversary over our great nation.

Left in the dark

The news came as a big shock not only to the American public, but also to those within the Trump administration. Even Trump’s detractor, former ambassador and national security adviser John Bolton, said he had not been informed of such an incident during his time.

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper said, “I don’t think anyone ever came into my office or read anything that the Chinese had surveillance balloons over the United States.”

A senior civilian leader of the military claimed that no one told him about these balloons.

Now to be fair, there were also Trump’s own detractors, including an anonymous Trump administration national security official who came out and said “I’m not aware of a single civilian national security leader in the Trump administration who has listened to this.”

Let’s sit here for a while. It is incredibly telling and horrifying that this particular officer believes that perhaps uniformed leaders knew and kept this from their civilian bosses.

You see, there is a fundamental reason why civilians are the ultimate authority in the military to guard against the military state. So what actually happened?

The same thing happened this time.

Never got the chance

With unnamed officials running their mouths to the press, incidents from previous administrations were not discovered until after Trump left the White House.

I’m going to go ahead and throw the ‘BS’ flag.

First of all, why was this information not leaked to the press before? I think, politically, it would be quite convenient to tell the American people that the previous administration could not stop the Chinese from flying balloons over our airspace, apart from the obvious fact that it is probably, in general, good information for us to know. .

Second, the details are not added. ‘Anonymous’ explained that it took weeks to confirm they were Chinese spy balloons due to the use of jamming systems to hide their purpose.

Wait a minute, if it wasn’t discovered until after they were gone and it took weeks, then all of this happened against the opening, right? If not, wouldn’t it be wise to notify the Secretary of Defense of foreign balloons in our airspace with potential jamming capabilities?

What if the balloons were carrying some kind of chemical agent? What if they had the ability to bomb?

There is definitely more to this situation than meets the eye. Regardless, a Bloomberg article pointed out the obvious, with the statement “The former president was never given a chance to drop the balloon.”

If you think that wasn’t intentional, you might be tricked into drawing Tom Sawyer’s fence for him.

Defies logic

The current administration initially saw this latest balloon on January 28th. However, the world was made aware of it only after it crossed Montana and was spotted by regular civilians. At that point, the administration had to either face up or pin on the aliens.

A few days later the balloon was shot down over South Carolina. Former Obama administration Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told CNN:

“…If we had been aware of the balloon, I think we should have taken steps to prevent it from entering our airspace, and I’m not sure we would have let it just cross over the country, over what was obviously a sensitive military site. . I don’t see the logic in that.”

If you believe that ‘anonymous’ is a senior Biden administration official, they added that too “Closely observing the balloon during flight gave us a better understanding of this Chinese program and further confirmed that its mission was surveillance.”

Come on! You’re telling me that it took you so long to realize that this balloon was not here to deliver Love Villages in the sky but to spy on us and send a message?

“If he decided to shoot it down on Wednesday, I think that should have been disclosed,” Panetta said of President Biden’s claim that he told the DOD to shoot down the balloon on Wednesday.

Indeed, but that would require that to actually happen though. It’s time to realize that the internal forces of our government control what information is disseminated not only to the public — but to the elected officials charged with making major administrative decisions.

Perhaps it’s time to start looking closely at the military and intelligence agencies with more scrutiny and suspicion. Who are they actually serving and protecting?

Now is the time to support and share your sources of faith.
