It was recently reported that New York City is offering taxpayer-funded bus tickets to Canada for some illegal immigrants. Some of them took the deal because they were frustrated by the level of crime in New York.
Well, they must not have told these people what Canada is like in the winter because some of them took one look and decided to come back.
This situation has reached an astonishing level of absurdity.

However, just days after news broke that some travelers were fleeing New York due to ‘drugs’ and homelessness, many are having second thoughts – with some rejecting the offer outright because there is ‘too much snow’ in the country.
Speaking to the CBC, Ilje Thielmann, director of a non-profit organization in New York that has already helped transport migrants from New York to Montreal, tried to explain the phenomenon, saying that many came hoping for better access to jobs and health care, while others were simply turned off by the freezing conditions.
‘They think there are all these jobs,’ Thielmann, 56, told the Canadian broadcaster on Tuesday, adding that reality is currently being forced on foreigners, many of whom have been in the US for the better part of a year.
He added that instead of braving the rest of the Canadian winter — which would continue for more than another month — the migrants, already fed up with the conditions, decided to return to New York City.
‘They think they’ll be able to get shelter there very easily, and that’s not the case.’

When leaders like Pierre Trudeau and Joe Biden make virtue-signaling calls for sanctuary cities and states to welcome illegal immigrants, immigrants are listening. They migrate to the United States and expect to receive all the taxpayer-funded benefits available to make their lives comfortable. There is hope. Now the cold weather is also a cause of complaint. You can’t make this thing up.
Single male immigrants would probably want to stay in a Manhattan hotel room where taxpayers are charged up to $450 a night for them instead of a large immigrant shelter. Who wouldn’t? It’s the sense of entitlement that’s so annoying.
How did these people not know that the winter in Canada is cold? Have they never seen a map of North America?
Immigrants living in Canada are reportedly worried about the cold weather seen in our neighbor to the north, with some even choosing to return to the US – despite getting a free ride at taxpayer expense.
