Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was invited to speak to the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police on Monday next week. Florida’s governor will describe what sane police policies play in his state, and he won’t lecture police officers about how they are a dangerous threat to society.
DeSantis’ visit to Chicago, a city in major decline under Mayor Laurie Lightfoot, is causing quite a stir.
Mayor Lightfoot called Governor DeSantis a “bigoted, racist demagogue.”
Illinois Democrat Governor Pritzker went further. Pritzker called on “every candidate who hopes to hold public office in the land of Lincoln” to condemn Monday’s event.
And Pritzker tweeted, “Ron DeSantis’ dangerous and despicable agenda has no place in Illinois.
Banning books, playing politics with people’s lives, and censoring history are antithetical to who we are.

Pritzker accused DeSantis of banning the book. In 2022 Governor DeSantis banned comic porn books from elementary school libraries.
Apparently, Pritzker supports this.

Democrats have lost themselves. They are promoting sexual profanity in the classroom. Thank goodness Ron DeSantis is in Chicago this week to spread some awareness.
