CNN’s Don Lemon has been in the news for the past few days for his comments about Nikki Haley going prime.
Interestingly, this idea hasn’t stopped Don Lemon from praising women like Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and others, all of whom are Democrats and older than Nikki Haley.
And what about Michelle Obama? He is 59 years old. Is he past his prime?

CNN anchor Don Lemon has made it clear that he thinks Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is “not in her prime” but has a very different view of Democratic women running for the Oval Office.
Lemon cited Google on Thursday as arguing that Haley, 51, would have an uphill battle to win the presidency because women only get into their prime in their “20s, 30s and 40s,” calling for what he called “compulsive mentalism.” Skills test for politicians over 75 responding to comments.
But the 56-year-old CNN host, who shared primetime with two co-hosts, clearly held a different standard for female politicians running for president, who were older than Haley when they ran.
Also, all Democrats.
Massachusetts Sen. When Elizabeth Warren announced her candidacy in February 2019 at age 69, Lemon did not comment on whether she was still “in her prime.” Instead, his entire focus was on then-President Trump’s “racist attacks” and “slurs” against Warren, who he famously referred to as “Pocahontas” for her past dubious claims to Native American heritage.
Then of course, there is the obvious example of Joe Biden, who is 80.
Don Lemon might be coming out on CNN. He was moved from primetime to a morning show that now gets worse ratings than before he joined. He sparked controversy by hitting out at his female colleagues.
Where will he go if he is booted from the morning show? Nowhere else. His career at CNN is on life support and he knows it. That may be why you keep shooting yourself in the foot.
