Half of Americans say they are worse off under Biden

The Gallup Company reports that Americans believe they are much worse off under Biden. These results are the worst since the Great Recession of 2019.

Barack Obama and his protégé Joe Biden can now brag that they have the worst economy of this century. At least Americans think so.

Gallup reports:

Reflecting on their personal financial situation, 35% of Americans say they are better off now than they were a year ago, while 50% are worse off. Since Gallup first asked this question in 1976, it’s rare for half or more Americans to say they’re bad. The only other times this happened was during the Great Recession, in 2008 and 2009.

On the other hand, today’s “better off” percentage is not unusually low, falling to 35% or below in other challenging economic times. These include the late 1970s and early 1980s, the early 1990s, and 2008 to 2012. During that period, a higher percentage volunteered that their money was “the same” as last year, compared to 14% today.

It’s no wonder Americans are unhappy with the economy. Americans lost more than $10 trillion in wealth last year.

Inflation is at a 40-year high. It’s horrible. The price of eggs has skyrocketed.

Of course, Americans are fed up with Biden’s economy.
