Biden claims the public is not interested in an investigation into his son Hunter

President Joe Biden insists Americans aren’t interested in House Republican investigations into his family members, but recent polling suggests he’s wrong.

Biden made the claim in an interview with Judy Woodruff of the PBS NewsHour.

Woodruff noted GOP lawmakers’ long-publicized intention to look into business dealings involving Biden’s son Hunter and his brother Jim, asking, “How do you plan to deal with that?”

“People are not going to pay attention to that,” the president claimed. “They want these guys to do something.”

“If the only thing they can do is make something about my family, it won’t go very far.”

BIDEN – Americans don’t want to see my family investigated

It’s nice to see that Biden has at least backed away from his ‘Russian meddling’ lie only to capitulate and wildly accuse Republicans of making things up.

The validity of both claims is roughly the same, which is to say neither is.

People want to know if Hunter Biden and James Biden were influenced by the name of the president and how exactly he might be involved.

Political Insider reported on an email last month that named Joe Biden from the infamous ‘laptop from hell’ as part of a ‘arranged’ call between him and his son Hunter over a multi-million dollar gas deal with China.

The public may want to know about it.

Reported years ago with the famous ‘10% for big guys’ email.

An email obtained by Fox News in 2020 outlined a payment for Biden in a joint venture with CEFC China Energy.

It included a proposed equity split of “20” for “H” and “10 by H for the big guy”?

Hunter’s former business associate Tony Bobulinsky insists that the ‘big guy’ is a reference to Joe Biden, although this has not been confirmed elsewhere.

A report emerged in October that Hunter received more than $100 million in investment backing from Elena Baturina, wife of billionaire Russian oligarch and former Moscow mayor.

President Biden has long insisted that he had no knowledge of his son’s business dealings.

Still, these issues certainly deserve investigation.

People want to know for sure

While it remains irrelevant what the public interest in such an investigation is—corruption needs to be investigated whether the public is captivated—the premise of Biden’s argument is null and void.

The public must want Republicans to investigate Hunter, Joe and the family.

A November poll found that even before the GOP took control of the House of Representatives, a majority of likely voters (62%) agreed with them opening an investigation into Hunter’s foreign business dealings.

A December poll found that number had risen to 72% — including majorities among Republicans (88%), independents (74%), and Democrats (54%).

Even an NBC News poll earlier this month indicated that Hunter’s investigation is “the most important for House Republicans to pursue.”

Oh, they must pay attention, Mr. President. About the only population in the country who no I would like to see an investigation into all of the Biden family having the last name ‘Biden’.
