Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is set to sign a bill that would redefine drag shows as ‘adult-oriented performances’ and ban them from public squares with children in attendance.

It is surprising that one side would argue against this.

But, as the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports, there was “audible dissent” from Democratic lawmakers during the state House vote.

The bill defines an “adult-oriented performance” as a performance that is “intended to appeal to genuine interest and features a person who appears nude or seminude” with artificial body parts.

It states that performances “may not take place on public property” or “no minors may be admitted to the venue.”

Which would ostensibly include ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’, a thinly veiled left-wing program to indoctrinate and normalize children’s sexual displays and conversations.

Sarah Sanders is banning drag shows, Latinx, and limiting CRT

Sarah Sanders has indicated support for the bill and could sign it as soon as today.

“I think we have to do everything – I’ve been very clear and talked about it extensively – to protect children,” she said last month. “I think this bill does that.”

Sanders spokeswoman Alexa Henning echoed the Washington Post’s claim, suggesting the law is less about banning and more about keeping conspicuous drag performances away from the eyes and ears of children.

It’s not about “banning something” but about “protecting kids” from accessing “sexually explicit drag shows,” he said.

Just as you wouldn’t bring school-age kids to a strip club or the local bar, you wouldn’t bring them to a sexually-charged show specifically designed to highlight parts of the performer’s body that don’t match their costumes.

Henning added, “It’s not appropriate to protect children in a dystopia that’s only in the wake of the radical left.”

If they’re not trying to protect their right to abortion until birth, liberals want to get their horrible little drag show-loving hands on those babies of yours, no matter the psychological cost.

Will provide a rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union

Sarah Sanders is a rising star in the Republican Party, and she cemented that role Tuesday by announcing the GOP response to President Biden’s State of the Union address.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Sanders is “combating numerous crises brought on by the Biden administration by addressing them with his conservative agenda outside of Washington.”

“The youngest governor in America, Sarah is fighting for parents, small businesses and ordinary taxpayers,” he added.

Sanders banned the phrase ‘latex’ from official state government documents, signing an executive order on his first day in office.

It was one of seven executive orders signed by the governor — the others include a ban on the use of TikTok on government devices and a review of the teaching of critical race theory or other topics that “indoctrinate students with ideology” in Arkansas schools.

“There’s a real appetite, not just from the public, but I think from the Legislature here, where we have Republican majorities in the House and Senate, to do some pretty big things and do some conservative reforms,” ​​he told Fox News.
