Congressman reports object over Lake Huron “blocked”

Michigan Congressman Jack Bergman (R) posted on Twitter, “I contacted DOD today regarding operations across the Great Lakes region. The US military has ruled out another “object” over Lake Huron. I appreciate the decisive action of our fighter pilots. The American people deserve more answers than we do.”

Canada recently closed airspace over Lake Huron. This follows an earlier incident on Sunday in which the United States closed airspace over Lake Michigan.

Rep. Ellis Slotkin (D-MI) earlier tweeted, “Just got a call from @DeptofDefense — our military is keeping a very close eye on the object over Lake Huron. We’ll know more about what it was in the coming days, but for now, rest assured that all parties were laser-focused on it from the moment it crossed our waters.”
