Biden demands Pete Buttigieg fire over Senator Marco Rubio’s handling of Ohio

Train derailments and chemical burns were a disaster in Ohio. The other disaster is the response of Pete Buttigieg and the Biden administration.

Buttigieg has been virtually invisible all this time, and makes excuses when he does make comments.

Now Senator Marco Rubio of Florida is calling on Biden to fire Buttigieg for his outrageous response.

Ohio Train Derailment: Rubio Claims Biden Fire Booty Gig

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) claims President Joe Biden has requested the resignation of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg over his handling of the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment.

While focusing on the train derailment as an example of Buttigieg’s “gross level of incompetence and indifference,” Rubio complained that it was just the latest example of a two-year pattern.

“For two years, Secretary Buttigieg has neglected and ignored crisis after crisis while prioritizing issues of little relevance to our nation’s transportation system,” Rubio wrote in a letter to Biden.

“It is painfully clear to the American people that Secretary Buttigieg has little regard for his duties as Secretary of Transportation,” he added.

He accused Rubio of grossly mismanaging the East Palestine train derailment, thus contributing to the scale of the disaster.

“At no time has this been more evident than in the last two weeks. Secretary Buttigieg refused to acknowledge the disaster in East Palestine, Ohio until his willful ignorance was no longer sustainable,” he wrote.

“Even after acknowledging the tragedy, he continues to ignore any accountability for the safety of our nation’s rail system. A clear lack of oversight and demand engagement by our country’s top transport official is a situation that led to the derailment,” he continued.

Rubio isn’t always right, but he’s right about this.

Buttigieg should resign or be fired.
