Biden has a new excuse for Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s terrible handling of the train disaster in Ohio. It’s Trump’s fault!
Buttigieg is trying to suggest that the policies adopted in 2018 under Trump prevented the implementation of policies that prevented this disaster from happening.
Is Trump also preventing him from doing something about it now? Because it sure doesn’t seem like he’s doing much.

Pete Buttigieg blames Trump for Ohio train derailment amid criticism: ‘We’re limited’
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has shifted some of the blame for the recent derailment of a train carrying toxic chemicals in Ohio for the Trump administration’s reversal of a little-known safety rule.
Buttigieg noted Tuesday evening that his agency has taken a number of steps to improve rail safety through “historic investments,” but said it was limited by the Trump administration’s actions. In 2018, the Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrew a rule proposed three years earlier that would have required trains carrying certain hazardous chemicals to use electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes, saying the benefits of the technology were uncertain.
“Given the East Palestine derailment and its impact on hundreds of residents, we’re seeing a lot of new or renewed (and welcome) interest in our work on rail safety, so I’d like to share more about what we’ve been doing in this area,” Buttigieg said. Tweeted.
“We are limited by law in some areas of rail regulation (such as the braking rule that was repealed by the Trump administration in 2018 due to a law passed by Congress in 2015), but we are using the power we have to keep people safe,” the transportation secretary added. “And of course, I’m always ready to work with Congress to further enhance (or in some cases, restore) our ability to address rail safety issues.”
What a lame excuse. Buttigieg is useless.
It is the year 2023 @pitbuttigieg.

#Shop blaming #Trump for #OhioTrainDisaster – Pity! #majorpit It took 10 days to deal with the crisis, lying and trying to hide the massive damage caused by the controlled release and burning of deadly chemicals that poisoned local residents. He must resign!

This is the state of the Biden administration: blame Trump for what happened exclusively on their watch.
Pete Buttigieg is an absolute disgrace and if he had done this poorly in the private sector he would have been fired months ago. https://t.co/yRBsDF8Q9q

Buttigieg’s presidential hopes go up in smoke with burning chemicals in Ohio.
