34-year-old singer and actor Cody Longo was found dead in his home

Singer-actor Cody Longo, known for his roles on “Hollywood Heights” and “Days of Our Lives,” was found dead Wednesday at his home in Austin, Texas. He was 34.

His manager, Alex Gitelson, confirmed his death to CNN.

“Devastated beyond words at the tragic loss of my dear friend and client Cody Longo,” Gitelson wrote. “My heart breaks for his beautiful family. You will be missed bro.”

“My heart breaks for his beautiful family,” Gitelson said. “He took some time off from acting to pursue music and spend more time with his family in Nashville, but we kept in touch regularly and he was excited to return to acting this year.”

“Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed,” she added.

A family member told TMZ that Cody was found dead in a bed at his home in Austin, Texas.

Cody’s wife Stephanie Longo was working at a local dance studio when she became concerned after she couldn’t reach her husband. He asked the police to check on Cody.

An official cause of death was not released Friday, but TMZ reported that Longo’s family suspected he suffered a relapse.

“Family members tell us Cody struggled with alcohol abuse for years – and went to rehab over the summer. At this time, an official time of death has not been released, but the family believes he relapsed and alcoholism likely killed him,” The outlet reported.

“Cody was our whole world,” Stephanie Longo told CNN. “The kids and I are devastated and devastated. He was the best father and the best father. We will always and forever miss you and love you.”

Longo is survived by his wife and three children. RIP
