World War II Bomb Explodes in England (VIDEO)

A World War II bomb exploded in England on Friday after authorities failed to defuse it.

The explosive device was discovered by a contractor working on a construction project in the town of Great Yarmouth.

On Thursday, England’s armed forces tried to detonate the bomb using a technique aimed at slowly burning the explosive, but the technique ultimately failed and the bomb exploded.

No one was injured in the explosion, according to Norfolk police.

Here’s another angle from the explosion:

During Germany’s Blitz campaign, Nazi pilots dropped more than 25,000 bombs on London and nearby ports.

Some of the bombs that were dropped never exploded, like the recent bomb discovered in the town of Great Yarmouth.

In 2021, a bomb was discovered in Exeter, a city southwest of London.

The army detonated the bomb in a controlled explosion but the blasts still caused severe damage to nearby properties.
