MSNBC and NBC News workers are threatening a walk-out Thursday amid anger over the layoffs.
MSNBC’s ratings are decent compared to CNN, but you have to wonder how much these layoffs are tied to poor performance and lost revenue.
It’s also hilarious that the staff is walking out, like a bunch of college kids angry about a surprise exam.

NBC, MSNBC workers threaten walk-out amid layoffs
NBC News and MSNBC employees are planning walkouts to protest recent layoffs, their unions said.
In a statement Wednesday, the NBC Guild said about 300 workers planned to walk off the job Thursday, saying the broadcast giant “has repeatedly broken the law, disrespected the rights of its workers and illegally fired hard-working union journalists.”
“For three years we have worked rewarded without a contract that will ensure fair pay, adequate raises, health and safety standards, reliable benefits and a viable future.” “Management wants us to go back to intentionality, but we’re just moving forward.”
The labor union plans to hold a protest outside the network’s New York headquarters at 30 Rock on Thursday morning.
“We are disappointed by NewsGuild’s continued efforts to misrepresent the facts while we worked in good faith with them to reach an agreement,” an NBC News spokesperson said in a statement to The Hill on Wednesday.

NBC is far from the only left-leaning media company to experience unexpected layoffs during Joe Biden’s presidency. The Washington Free Beacon reported last month that the Post itself had begun shedding locations after losing half a million customers since Trump left office. CNN laid off hundreds of employees in December.
Trump predicted this media landscape in 2017: “Newspapers, television, all kinds of media will tank if I’m not there.”
