New Disney+ Show Promotes Critical Race Theory and Children’s Reparations

We were a Disney+ family, and happily so. My daughter learned a lot from watching her beloved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Both kids enjoyed classics from ‘The Little Mermaid’ to ‘Cinderella’. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen ‘Moana,’ a family favorite.

However, last year we decided to cut ties with Disney+. So while we were sad to say goodbye to the Star Wars shows and Marvel spin-offs, we were happy to say goodbye to the vigilante instincts that destroyed such a great brand and threatened to infiltrate our unsuspecting children’s minds.

Almost a year later, I see that not much has changed, with video clips from an episode of the Disney reboot of ‘The Proud Family – Loud and Proud’ going viral. So is Disney pushing fresh crap now? Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Race Reparations.

It’s no Jack Kerouac

The video in question comes from an episode of the show that deals specifically with an interpretation of the Juneteenth holiday. In it, teenage characters give a presentation for school with a very familiar narrative on slavery.

In a terrible attempt to imitate the Beatnik poets of the 1940s and 50s, the kids drop spoken word lyrics e.g. “This country was built on slavery which means slaves built this country.”

Blatantly ignoring the true history in which many non-slaves participated in the building of the United States, the song does not even mention who originally sold said slaves to the dreaded white man and put them on a ship to cross the ocean. Africa and America – but we don’t want to highlight all history, just cherry pick some parts, right Disney?

Children brag boldly “Descendants of slaves keep building it.”

Again, the descendants of slaves who have contributed to the growth and prosperity of this nation are scorned by the rest of us. Not shocked yet? Well, the most magical part of the animated performance is yet to come.

Nothing for a little

Disney goes with the next few lines that would undoubtedly be considered a masterpiece by the great Beat poet Allen Ginsberg:

“And we, the descendants of America’s slaves, have exacted reparations for their suffering. And keep earning compensation for every moment we spend immersed in a systemic prejudice racism and white supremacy. That was established with America and has not yet been atoned for.”

Wow, Bravo, Disney, you’ve outdone yourself.

Unfortunately, the concept of ‘achievement’ seems to have been lost among these teenagers; Perhaps their animated teacher could have discussed that you have to create something of value in order to earn something in return in promoting the theory of critical race theory.

‘But we should be glad that CRT is not in our real schools,’ according to left-wing pundits, when our children come home to see these innocently animated schools. Totally no instinct, right? Just more ‘crazy right-wing’ conspiracy, right?

I’m still waiting for the retribution camp to set up exactly when, if ever, those of us who never owned slaves and have descendants who didn’t own slaves will adequately atone for sins we didn’t commit.

Maybe that’s coming next season, but I doubt it. Instead, the skit included footage of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, with a young man holding his hands up with words. “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

Again, the information is not necessary for Disney, the claim that the phrase was uttered was demonstrably false.

the creator

So who is the brainchild behind this terrible cartoon? None other than Latoya Raveneau, who, if you don’t recall, was the outspoken ‘biomantic asexual’ who gained some Twitter fame for her comments at the poorly edited ‘Reimagine Tomorrow’ Disney training.

In a leaked video, Ms. Revenue publicly admitted that she does not have a “secret gay agenda” to insert LGBTQ+ themes into her work.

“I can add sarcasm wherever I’ve been,” as he said.

He is, of course, accompanied by two eccentric fathers on his show, voiced by Zachary Quinto and Billy Porter. They’re a mixed-race gay couple of a young teenage activist on the show who, from what I can tell from the many YouTube clips I’ve seen, is a mean girl who’s angry all the time — so that might be reasonably accurate for most teenage girls.

So in addition to bringing queerness to his work, he’s also covering his show with as many CRTs as possible including the controversial episode claiming that President Lincoln didn’t care about freeing the slaves, and a trans character shouting “That should be the first sentence of his biography!”

Again, excluding parts of history, but that’s fine as long as you’re a marginal caste.

Same old trick

Disney chose to stick to the wake train, which is fine with me; We don’t miss Disney anymore. Unfortunately though, it’s not just these shows as their films are also laced with forceful social commentary.

Take the movie ‘Strange World’ which lost around $147 million. The movie featured the first openly LGBTQ+ teenage character.

While I doubt the movie bombed solely because of this character, I’m sure it didn’t help. When you spend more time trying to force a narrative than you do actual plot, character development, and, you know… magic, it’s bound to fail.

We can’t forget the Disney Pixar film ‘Lightyear’ which featured a kiss between two gay characters. Asked if its negative response to a children’s film could affect its box office performance, the film’s star Chris Evans said “The real truth is those people are idiots.”

Great way to sell your film, Chris. Not sure we were the bomb when you played the bomb.

I think it’s time to admit that Mickey and Minnie have fallen for the waking cheese and found themselves in quite the mouse trap. I don’t believe this house will make it back to Disney Home, and that’s okay; I didn’t like the rats that much anyway.
