Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the US military had to cut off communications and traffic last week after a Chinese spy balloon flew over a strategic military base during a week-long flyover from Alaska to South Carolina in the US. Just offshore, Joe Biden said it was “not a big breach.”
Biden made the comments during an interview with Noticius Telemundo by reporter Julio Vaquero taped in Tampa, Florida on Thursday.
Julio Vaquero: And wasn’t that a major security breach for the United States, just that the balloon came into airspace?
PRESIDENT BIDEN: No. pic.twitter.com/xHOHTNUn7P
